Latin name: Gymnocladua dioicus

Origin: Central United States

Characteristics:  Sapwood is yellowish white and is narrow. Heartwood is reddish-brown or reddish-orange with straight grain pattern. Limited production because there is no demand.

Uses: Architectural woodwork, fine furniture and cabinets.
