Origin: North America

Characteristics: Sapwood is almost white while heartwood is light-brown-grey. Some logs have a watery interlocking grain producing an attractive figure. Very limited production and the logs can have a lot of tension. Demand is for the quartered material.

Uses: Architectural woodwork and fine furniture.
