Origin: Africa

Characteristics: Color varies from yellowish-white to cream and becomes more yellowish-grey when steamed. Very good wood for dying and is very popular in a dyed grey- silver color. Is relatively soft.

Uses: In sliced veneer architectural woodwork. Rotary veneer is used in fine furniture industry as backing.
