Characteristics: Heartwood color varies from pink-red to blood-red and red-brown. Quarter cut is by far the greatest in demand although there is some plain sliced produced. Logs tend to be very large making it great specie for projects with large sequences. The surface is lustrous and the texture uniform and fine.
Use: Architectural woodwork and fine furniture.
