Origin: Australia

Characteristics: Heartwood is light pinkish-brown to dark brown, with pinkish, grayish-green, or blackish streaks. Grain is interlocked to wavy with a medium texture. Some logs have a broad line figure. Good logs have an incredible luster and are stunning under a finish. Also marketed as oriental wood and Queensland walnut. Has been increasing harder to get good logs and generally only couple of veneer logs surface every couple of years.

Use: Architectural woodwork and furniture.
