The Veneer Source is proud to be supplying select Grey Elm veneer to transform Normandale Community College’s facilities.
Upon entering the College Service’s building, you are welcomed into the grand corridor. The information desk, flexible study outposts, wall paneling, and doors all use Grey Elm veneer to create a warm and inviting entrance to the space.
The coffee bar at the new Corner Café also boasts beautiful book-matched panels to maintain the aesthetic and feeling from one space to another.
The goal of the first phase was to reconfigure the building in a way that will provide easier access to students, a more welcoming entrance, and a single dedicated area for essential student services. Phase 2 will focus on renovating classrooms on the east wing of College Services, addressing deferred maintenance items including mechanical and electrical system replacement, updating HVAC controls and life safety systems, completing interior finishes, and roof replacement on some of the building.
"The College Services building is one of the most highly utilized on Normandale's campus and it is critical to the success of the college and most importantly the success of the students we serve," said Minnesota State Chancellor Devinder Malhotra.
